Privacy notice
Controller
Rierink Compounds is the controller for the personal data described here. The contact email on the About page is the address for privacy requests.
What we collect
An inquiry stores your name, email, organisation, country, the compound and amount you selected, your message, the language of the page, and the time. The site also stores a research-acknowledgement cookie and, for the admin area only, a sign-in cookie. Page-view counts are stored without an account. Phone calls and text messages to the support number are transcribed, stored in the admin area, and emailed to the operator. WhatsApp messages to that number are stored in the admin area, with the phone number and the WhatsApp profile name. A mobile number saved on an account is used to recognize those calls and messages. If you accept the newsletter on your account, we store that choice and your email so we can write when a blog post is published or when a catalog quantity is updated on the shelf.
Why
We use inquiry data to answer you and to keep a record of the request. Cookies keep the research acknowledgement and the admin session. The legal bases are steps toward a contract, our legitimate interest in running a research catalog, and consent where a cookie is optional. The acknowledgement cookie is required to use the catalog. Newsletter messages are sent only after you accept, and only to a verified email. You can withdraw that acceptance on the account page or from the link in each message.
Cookies
research_ack remembers that you acknowledged the research notice, for 180 days. rierink_country remembers the shipping country. rierink_cart holds the cart. rierink_customer keeps you signed in. rierink_cookie stores Accept or Necessary only for 180 days. The admin area uses rierink_admin and a short pending cookie. Chat history in the browser uses local storage under rierink_chat_threads and rierink_chat_thread, which is not a cookie. If you choose Accept, the shop loads Google Ads tag AW-18527092407. After checkout, the order page sends that tag a purchase conversion with the order number, the euro total, and whether it is the first order. Necessary only does not load that tag. Google sign-in sends your email and name to Google, and this site then keeps only the session cookie.
Testing fund votes
If you vote on the Janoshik Testing Fund, we store a salted hash of your email address together with the round and your choice, so that one person has one vote. We email a confirmation link when you ask for one from the vote page. That message is transactional. It is not a newsletter and it does not opt you in to other mail. The vote record is deleted 12 months after the round closes. The optional checkout choice is kept in the session cookie rierink_fund and is not a tracking cookie.
How long, and your rights
Inquiries are kept for as long as we need them to correspond and to meet accounting or legal duties, and then deleted or anonymised. You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of your inquiry data, and you can complain to the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
